You, quite frankly, don’t have the right, in this forum ( tumblr ) to suggest how others conduct themselves. You have only the right to decide how YOU conduct yourself ( call it enlightmet or what have you ).

subcreation said: Someone posts NSFW imagery on a blog not marked as NSFW, and you call it free speech. I speak out about it to my following, and you call it censorship. Obviously my right to free speech ends where even offending you over some imagined rights begins

NSFW is subjective.  Where you may think the image we’re all talking about is NSFW, I may call it art; as the publisher did.  There is no pornographic suggestion here ( which is the intention of NSFW ).

Again, you have the choice to follow, or not.  You cannot control the subjective view of others.  Your right to free speech is not in question; what in question, is your suggestion of ettiqute and censorship.

Conduct yourself how you will, anywhere and anyhow you want.  Do not flog what tumblr is by suggesting that you are ‘holier then thou’.

THOUGHT

remember, tumblr is in the public forum.
it is not a place for censorship.

the choice is yours to follow content or NOT.

it is never your place to suggest ethics or etiquette.
live by ethics and etiquette on your tumblr, but do not expect the same in the public forum.

Suggestion of censorship is absolutely dangerous to the beauty of how we interact here.
